Welcome to the home page for E225, Earth Materials. This course is offered for majors in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences as well as students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Environmental Science BSES degree program offered jointly through the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS)and SPEA.

The course is a rigorous introduction to the nature of the materials that make up the solid earth, including minerals, rocks, and soil. Our intent is to provide Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and BSES students with the necessary background to move off into more specialized areas of study and research.
